About TMS

Our company was incorporated in 1971 as Flur Wire and Metal. In 1990 Tim Michel and Tom Sheahan purchased the company from its original owner and changed the name to Technical Metal Specialties. TMS, Inc started as a key provider of mass transit seat framing, illuminated menu boards, and point of purchase display systems. For over 40 years we have provided complete one stop customer service; from design, prototypes, sub-processing, to final production and assembly. As our customer base grew so did we, by expanding our facility to 108,000 sqft and adopting new technologies to offer our customers.

We support leading names in; Transit Seating, Military, OEM, P.O.P Displays, In-store Environment, and Custom Fabrication. Being a small business ourselves we also support manufacturing needs of a variety of small businesses, which is important to economic growth and development.

In 2023, TMS was acquired by Employee Owned Manufacturing, INC. EOM is a 100% employee owned holding company with a strategic vision for growth and diversification in domestic manufacturing capacity. TMS joins D&S Manufacturing under the EOM umbrella and together offer comprehensive manufacturing capabilities in flat metal products ranging from 24 gauge to 4” thick plate.
